One of the great things about living here in DC are the concerts and events that happen all the time around town. Kelly and I had the very good fortune to see and hear Chuck talk about his career as well as the new show that just opened at the Corcoran called Chuck Close Prints: Process and Collaboration.
Close is an extremely sweet and thoughtful man. You can tell that he's not interested in being the artist "Chuck Close" but rather, just a man who has had a lifelong passion with creating and expressing.
After the event there was a book signing with Close and Christopher Finch (his biographer) and not only did we get the book signed.....
... we got to speak with them!
